Event Details
Building owners and operators are sitting on more data than ever before, yet many organizations continue to struggle with turning that information into meaningful action. This half-day conference will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and practitioners for two engaging roundtable-style sessions focused on one of the most important challenges facing the built environment today: how to maximize the value of building data. Through a series of moderated fireside discussions featuring experts from across the industry, attendees will explore both the practical realities of leveraging existing building data today and the emerging opportunities that will shape the next generation of intelligent, high-performing facilities. Drawing on topics such as operational optimization, fault detection and diagnostics (FDD), predictive maintenance, decarbonization, and advanced analytics, the event will provide a forum for candid conversation, knowledge sharing, and industry collaboration.
Designed for property owners, developers, facility and operations leaders, consultants, and smart building professionals, the event offers presenters a unique opportunity to share lessons learned, showcase successful implementations, and help define the future direction of data-driven building operations. The morning session will focus on unlocking value from existing systems and infrastructure through practical, replicable strategies that can be applied today, while the lunch session will explore realistic future applications of AI, predictive analytics, and integrated building intelligence. Each session will feature 4 to 5 industry experts in an interactive discussion format that encourages dialogue, audience participation, and peer-to-peer learning. Presenters will have the opportunity to engage directly with influential decision-makers, elevate their profile within the industry, and contribute to an important conversation about how data can be used to create more efficient, resilient, and sustainable buildings
Session 1 – Existing Data / Retro-Commissioning / Using What You’ve Got
This session focuses on how to unlock value from existing building systems, data, and infrastructure through retro-commissioning and practical optimization strategies. Presentations should highlight real-world examples of identifying performance gaps, improving operations, and extending asset life without major capital investment. The intent is to demonstrate how teams can leverage current BAS, IMIT, and operational data to drive measurable outcomes such as energy savings, occupant comfort, and Calibri (Body) operational efficiency. Speakers should emphasize lessons learned, common pitfalls, and low barrier approaches that others can replicate. The discussion should remain grounded in what is achievable today using tools and data already available in most facilities.
Session 2 – The Future / What Can Be Done / Realistic Use-Cases
This session explores the evolving role of data, AI, and advanced analytics in shaping the next generation of intelligent buildings. Presentations should focus on realistic, near-term applications that move beyond theory and demonstrate tangible value in design, operations, and decision-making. The goal is to bridge vision and execution by showcasing implementable use-cases such as predictive maintenance, AI-assisted operations, digital twins, and integrated system insights. Speakers should clearly articulate enabling requirements, including data readiness, system integration, and organizational alignment. The discussion should help attendees understand what is coming next and how to position their buildings and teams to take advantage of it.
