- Team Scoring by “Ace Tournament Services”
The following is the formula used by ACE Tournament Services to allow teams with higher handicaps to compete with the lower handicapped teams:
- 30% of the lowest handicap
- 10% of the second lowest handicap
- 4% of the third lowest handicap
- 1% of the highest handicap on the team
For example:
- Player 1 is an 8 handicap x30% = 2.40
- Player 2 is a 20 handicap x 10% = 2.00
- Player 3 is a 28 handicap x 4% = 1.12
- Player 4 is an 36 handicap x 1% = 0.36
- Team handicap is 5.88
- This amount gets subtracted from the team gross score.

FAQs
WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THE WEATHER?
In September the weather is generally nice. We have never in our history of having tournaments had to cancel. But, it is fall and it is the prairies. The weather can turn suddenly and dramatically. Be prepared for four seasons as it really can happen in the space of a few hours.
I HAVE SOME FRIENDS/CLIENTS THAT I WANT TO GOLF WITH, CAN YOU ASSURE US THAT WE CAN?
No. We try to balance the teams in terms of abilities and a number of other factors with the intent to facilitate networking.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE REGISTERED AND MY PLANS CHANGE AND I CAN’T ATTEND?
Let us know as soon as possible. Refunds will be provided according to the cancellation policy. Make sure you read and understand this policy, located on the registration page. If you cancel before the date posted in the policy, you will receive a full refund. After that date there will be no refunds, but you can send us a substitute person from your company to take your place.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM PLACED ON THE WAIT-LIST?
Our experience has been that we have been able to move nearly everybody from the wait-list. If a place opens up we go through the wait-list in chronological order. If you receive a call you may accept but we must have your payment by credit card at the time of this confirmation. If you do not accept, we move to the next person in sequence. A second consideration is to show up at Kananaskis Country Golf Course on the golf day. There are often no-shows, and if there are spaces available then you can play. You will be asked for a credit card payment before you play.
HOW WILL I KNOW I AM CONFIRMED?
We will notify you by email. We expect the teams to be confirmed about 2 weeks in advance, and will be posted on the website.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY?
At the time of registration. You can register online and pay through our secure site by VISA or MasterCard. . All golfers must have paid in advance of the tournament in order to play.
