Registration
Please read the important information below carefully.
Registration will run from Tuesday, June 9 to Friday, June 19 at 12:00 PM (noon). A random draw (raffle system) will determine who receives golf spots.
Please note:
- This is not a guaranteed registration
- You may request up to 4 spots - It is our strict policy that foursome requests are not permitted. Limited twosome requests may be considered at the discretion of the BOMA Golf Committee
- Spots are not guaranteed and may be partially fulfilled or not fulfilled at all
Successful drawn registrants will receive a confirmation email from the BOMA office outlining their golf spot(s) and next steps.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The only way to guarantee golf spots is through event sponsorship. The Sponsorship package includes a varying number of pre-registered golf spots, depending on sponsorship level.

Golf Classic Details
- On-site registration/check-in at Kananaskis Country Golf Course
- Format: Texas Scramble
- Check-in required at least 1 hour prior to tee time
- Late arrivals may forfeit their spot to stand-by players
- Breakfast (included) begins at 8:00 AM
- Driving range available prior to tee times

- Dinner begins approximately 4:00 PM
- Entry includes: 18 holes, cart, starter kit, breakfast, dinner, and prize presentations

- Draw tickets support The BOMA Calgary Foundation (2 for $10 or 5 for $20, available on-site)
- Mulligans available at registration (proceeds support the Foundation)
Scoring: Managed by Ace Tournament Services using handicap weighting to balance team play.
Team Handicap Formula
- 30% of lowest handicap
- 10% of second lowest handicap
- 4% of third lowest handicap
- 1% of highest handicap
Example:
- 8 handicap × 30% = 2.40
- 20 handicap × 10% = 2.00
- 28 handicap × 4% = 1.12
- 36 handicap × 1% = 0.36
Team handicap = 5.88 (subtracted from gross score)
Course Regulations
Dress Code
- Proper golf attire required on course and in clubhouse
- Soft-spike or golf shoes required
- No tank tops, cut-offs, swimwear, or similar attire
Cart Rules
- Carts must remain on paths
- Take 1–2 clubs and walk to your ball when needed
Sand Traps
Locate and use a rake after play
Pace of Play
- Target pace: 4.5 hours (15 minutes per hole)
- Course marshals will monitor pace and etiquette
Lost Balls
- Play a provisional ball when possible
- 1-stroke penalty if ball is lost
Putting
- Play continuously when appropriate
- “Gimmies” may be used to maintain pace
Payment & Cancellation Policy
Participants will only be charged after their name has been drawn and golf spot(s) have been confirmed.
A refund, less a $50 administration fee, will be available prior to 12:00 PM (noon) on Friday, August 7, 2026. No refunds will be issued after this deadline.
Payment in full must be received by end of business on August 7, 2026, otherwise confirmed spots will be forfeited and reassigned to waitlisted participants.
Please note there is also a $50 administrative fee for confirmed spots that are not used, so please request only the number of spots you intend to use.

BOMA Calgary encourages responsible alcohol consumption. BOMA Calgary is not responsible for transportation to or from the event; however, if you are unable to drive, Golf Committee members will assist with arranging alternate transportation.
By attending, you consent to photography and videography being captured and used for promotional purposes without compensation. All media remains the property of BOMA Calgary and may be used in publications, marketing, and social media. If you do not wish to be included, please contact the BOMA office prior to the event.

What is the weather like?
September weather can vary significantly. Be prepared for all conditions as changes can occur throughout the day.
Can I choose who I golf with?
No. Teams are balanced based on skill and networking objectives.
What happens if I cancel?
Refunds follow the cancellation policy. After the deadline, substitutions may be allowed.
What if I am waitlisted?
Waitlisted participants may be contacted if spots open. Some additional on-site opportunities may also arise due to no-shows.
How will I know if I’m confirmed?
Confirmation emails will be sent once the draws are completed. Teams are typically finalized approximately two weeks prior to the event.
When is payment due?
Only after confirmation following the draw. All payments must be completed before the deadline to secure participation.
