BOMA Calgary is the valued source of knowledge and leadership for commercial real estate.

MISSION:

BOMA Calgary demonstrates commitment to building excellence in the commercial real estate sector through advocacy, education and professional relationships.

 

Established in 1959, BOMA Calgary is an industry association that promotes the professional standards of commercial building ownership and property management. BOMA is a member-driven, committee-run organization that is locally autonomous and independent, and is incorporated as a not-for-profit entity under the Societies Act of Alberta. BOMA Calgary is affiliated with BOMA Canada, a body that represents the industry nationally, and is federated with BOMA International, headquartered in Washington, D.C. This 19,000 member organization represents building industry groups around the world.

Governance

BOMA Calgary is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected on a three year term by the membership at its Annual Meeting in January of each year. A third of the Board is elected annually. The President & CSO is a member ex-officio on the Board. See the 2013 Board of Directors

In addition, BOMA has a number of committees chaired by members and appointed by the President.
