| What are the costs of Certification? | There are several aspects to certification:
Each one of these components is priced separately. If you have experience, you may not need training. We suggest that candidates first complete the online Self Assessment and if satisfied with their assessment, then request Validation (Approximately $100-$200 CAD). If a candidate requires training, then they may find the online training of value to them (Approx. $100 CAD) Once certified, you may then obtain at your option a professional stamp for stamping your drawings ($50 CAD) and a Certificate of Competence ($50 CAD). Both of these items are valid for the term of your certification. Note: All prices are subject to change. Confirm with BOMA Calgary at info@boma.ca |

| What happens during Validation? | The process of validation takes typically one and one half to two hours. Cost is typically $100 - $200 CAD per hour. Validators may set their own fees for this third-party review. During this process a qualified and independent third party verifies that the candidate can in fact apply the theory successfully and in a manner consistent with there own self-assessment. Some of the competencies may be verified verbally and some require the candidate to perform certain tasks before the validator. Normally, the candidate would have to appear before the validator, but it is also to be validated remotely using Skype technology. In these instances the candidate may be asked to perform some remote tasks and submit written exercises, certified to be their own work. For more information on the remote validation process, contact BOMA Calgary.. | ||
