From the Calgary Fire Marshal: Building Owner’s Responsibilities

Jul 5, 2010 | 0 comment(s) | Posted in: Advocacy

The Building Owner’s Responsibilities for Fire Safety Equipment has been released with amendments. Prepared by the Fire Prevention Bureau, a Division of the Calgary Fire Department, the pamphlet lists fire safety equipment maintenance requirements as found in Division B of the Alberta Fire Code (AFC) 2006 for all existing buildings. Owners and managers should read through these requirements and amendments, as they are subject to fines and or imprisonment if they violate AFC section 68 (1).
